Mid-Atlantic Youth Services, Corp. (MAYS) serves male and female adolescents with severe emotional, social, behavioral, or psychiatric disorders that have compromised community safety. These adolescents must be treated in a highly structured and secure environment which is what we provide.
Our responsibility as parents and caring adults is to watch out for the following characteristics in children:
- Aggressive/violent behavior
- Incorrigible behavior
- Prostitution
- Drug/alcohol use
- Family incarceration
- Family substance abuse and addiction
- Tendency to run-away
- Severe mood swings
- History of mental illness
- Profound socialization difficulties
- Sexual offending
